Kenya: U.S. Embassy Nairobi Hosted Online Twitter Campaign #worthmorealive

According to wildlife conservationist group, Save the Elephants, 100,000 elephants were killed in Africa from 2010 to 2012 and Kenya has the third largest rhino population in the world and yet the country has less than 2000 which goes a long way to prove that the rhinos are at risk of extinction. U.S. Embassy Nairobi hosted a massive online Twitter campaign on the 25th April to raise awareness of wildlife poaching and to spread the word that elephants and rhinos are ‪#‎WorthMoreAlive‬.

This ‪#‎Tweet4Elephants event discussion made over 610 million impressions on Twitter and will continue to grow as we approach the historic Ivory and Rhino Horn Burn this weekend.
