Nigeria: Eko Disco Begins One-Month Power Rationing in Lagos Island

Lagos — The Eko Electricity Distribution Company (Eko Disco) has announced that it would begin rationing electricity in Lekki, Ikoyi, Victoria Island and some parts of Ajah, all in Lagos Island, from today, May 3, 2016.

A statement from the Corporate Communications Department of the company in Lagos stated that the power rationing is to enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to upgrade both Line 1 and Line 2 of Ajah-Alagbon transmission line from 132kv to 330kv.
