Gambia: Lang Conteh Convicted

Principal Magistrate Omar Cham of the Banjul Magistrates' Court yesterday convicted and sentenced Lang Conteh, the former Manager of Kanilai Family Farm (KFF), to a two-year mandatory jail term with hard labour.

The magistrate also ordered Conteh to restore the D1, 538,804.95 he was charged with, saying if he fails to return it, he would serve one-year imprisonment term with hard labour.
