Africa: Yanga Boost Confederation Cup Chances

The sole representatives in the continental clubs tournament, Young Africans yesterday cruised past Angolan's Sagrada Esperanca, with a 2-0 victory in their CAF Confederation Cup round of 16, first leg tie at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Winger Simon Msuva opened the scoring for the hosts deep in the second half and Mateo Anthony added the second in the dying minutes of the game. Yanga now need a draw of any kind to progress into the next stage of the continental second tier club championships.
