Kigali — The executive director, Oxfam International, United Kingdom, Ms Winnie Byanyima, has emphasised the need to link economic growth to poverty reduction.
She pointed out that, between 2003 and 2009, strong oil-driven growth in Nigeria only benefitted 10 per cent of the population, the number of poor people in the country actually increased during that period.
