Tunisia: Caid Essebsi Receives Invitation From Ould Abdelaziz to Take Part in Arab Summit

Carthage, — President Beji Caid Essebsi, on Monday, received an invitation from Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdelaziz to take part in the upcoming Arab Summit scheduled for the end of July 2016 in Nouakchott.

In a statement, the Presidency said the invitation was handed over to Caid Essebsi by Mauritanian President's special envoy Mohamed Abdallah Ould Adaa.

The meeting discussed the "excellent" relations between the two countries, Ould Adaa was quoted as saying, expressing his country's satisfaction at Tunisia's support to Mauritania to bring the Summit to a successful end.

Mauritania will hold the Arab Summit after Morocco had decided last February not to host the meeting.
