Accra — Life is getting interesting in President John Dramani Mahama's Ghana. I am told that agents of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) are going round the rural communities and inner city dwelling places, promoting a new and very strange concept in our political evolution.
The rural communities, I am told on authority, are being asked to follow a certain convention. Our poor fathers and mothers in the rural communities and inner city areas like the zongos are being told that both former heads of state, Jerry John Rawlings and John Agyekum Kufuor, were given eight years at Government House, and that it is now the turn of sitting President John Dramani Mahama. In other words, the November 7, Presidential Election is merely about the endorsement of the President to continue his occupation of the Golden Jubilee House.
