Tanzania: Grand Plan to 'House' Prisons

Dodoma — The government has picked a Chinese firm, Poly Technologies, to construct at least 9,500 housing units at all prisons in the country.

This clarification from the government follows a basic question that was initially asked in the National Assembly on Friday but was not well responded to by the then Minister for Home Affairs, Charles Kitwanga, whose appointment has since been revoked by President John Magufuli. Mr Kitwanga lost his job after he entered the chambers under the influence of alcohol.
