Angola: Fistula Traumatises Thousands of Women

Luanda — Obstetric fistula is a problem acquired during delivery and traumatises thousands of women in Angola and the world, causing a permanent physical and psychological suffering, as a result of stigma that casts them into social exclusion.

The statement is contained in a United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) note that reached Angop on Monday , on the occasion of the International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, May 23.
