Algeria: Health - Algeria Undertakes Reforms to Meet Population's Expectations

Geneva — Algeria has undertaken reforms to cope with the new challenges and meet the growing expectations of its population, in terms of access to quality healthcare, said Tuesday in Geneva Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abdelmalek Boudiaf.

"Capitalizing on its experience and financed by the State budget, Algeria has engaged in a reform process to cope with the new challenges and to come up to the growing expectations of its population in terms of access to healthcare, on the one hand, and to meet the demands of associations and professionals in the health sector, on the other hand, for greater participation in the governance," said Boudiaf at the plenary session of the 69th World Health Assembly.
