Nigeria: Govt to Empower 4,900 Farmers to Cultivate Soya Beans

Birnin Kebbi — The Kebbi State Government is to empower 4,900 farmers to cultivate soya beans at the Danko-Wasagu local government area.

Speaking at a Town Hall Meeting organized by his administration on his stewardship in the last one year, Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu said the government had also embarked on resuscitating the cassava processing factory at Kalgo. "In two months from now both the wheat mill and cassava processing factories will begin operation," he said, adding that the mills would provide investment opportunities for people willing to work with the state farmers for their need of soya beans, cassava and other commodities.
