Uganda: Principal Judge Preaches Mediation to End Disputes

Kampala — Principal Judge Yorokamu Bamwine has urged judicial officials to embrace the alternative dispute resolution mechanisms as a means of resolving court disputes cheaply and preciously.

Justice Bamwine told members of Justice Law and Order Sector undergoing training on alternative dispute resolution in Kampala on Monday that other dispute resolution mechanisms such as small claims procedure, mediation in civil cases and plea-bargain are less costly.
