Uganda: Kampala City to Have No Water Supply Entire Saturday

National Water and Sewerage Corporation has advised its customers in the Kampala service area, to store water today and use the available water sparingly because the Ggaba water pumps will be shut down the whole day tomorrow (June 11).

In a telephone interview, Dr Silver Mugisha the NWSC Managing Director said tomorrow's shut down follows a communication from Umeme informing them that the plant will be off power supply and there will not be any other source of power to run the pumps. This is because Umeme will be doing routine maintenance work at the Clock Tower substation.
