press release

Civil society from Eritrea and Ethiopia are concerned with the border clashes that broke out in the Tsorona area on the border of Ethiopia and Eritrea.

These clashes can easily escalate into full-blown war.

Civil society originations call for:

1. The AU to step in with its peace and security council;
2. The EU and USA to step in as witnesses to the peace.
to call for an end to any fighting.
In the last war in 1998 over 100.000 people lost their lives.
EEPA associates with this call. Eritrean and Ethiopian lives should be spared.
