Nigeria: Boko Haram - Insurgents Flee Lake Chad Axis Under Massive JNTF Pounding

The Multi-national Joint Task force for the Lake Chad Basin Commission, comprising troops from Nigeria and its North East neighbours, said yesterday that the firepower of Operation Lafiya Dole had caused massive movement of Boko Haram Terrorists escaping from Sambisa Forest into Northern Borno State border with Niger Republic and Lake Chad Islands.

Col. Mohammed Dole, spokesman of the MNJTF said in a statement: "In a concerted effort to keep up with its mandate, the Headquarters, Multinational Joint Task Force (HQ MNJTF) launched Op Gama Aiki to clear all remnants of BHT in its general Area of Responsibility (AOR)" a statement said.
