Nigeria: Court Bars Parents, Journalists As Ese Oruru Gives Evidence

Justice Aliya Nganjiwa of the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa yesterday, walked out journalists and parents of the 14- year old, Miss Ese Rita Oruru, the minor who was allegedly abducted and forcefully converted to Islam and married off in Kano by one Yunusa Dahiru, following her appearance for cross examination in private.

Justice Nganjiwa, at the resumed trial of the accused Yunusa Dahiru, shocked journalists and parents of Miss Ese Oruru when he announced that they should vacate the court hall with the exception of both counsels.
