Ghana: Mahama Under Siege

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has predicted a demoralizing attitude for honest public officials across the country, following President John Dramani Mahama's alleged involvement in a Ford Expedition Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) bribery scandal.

At a press conference in Accra yesterday, the acting National Chairman of the NPP, Mr. Freddie Blay did not only call for a probe into the case but also opined that the reaction of the ruling party to the story, which was at the instigation of Accra-based Joy FM's investigative journalist, Manasseh Azure Awuni, sought to lower the standard of the integrity of the leaders in the country.
