Dodoma — The government has been asked to formulate and implement a comprehensive alcohol policy to curb rising health and social related problems caused by excessive consumption of liquors so that the nation can achieve sustainable development goals.
Speaking during a sensitisation seminar on the harm of Alcohol Socially, Economically and in Health, organised by Tanzania Media Women Association (TAMWA) for Members of Parliament (MPs), here yesterday, participants concurred that there was a need for immediate formulation and implementation of alcohol policy in the country.
