Ethiopia: EEP Commissions Chinese Company to Develop Wind Farm

Wind power has a large presence in the nation's second Growth & Transformation Plan

The Ethiopian Electric Power Utility (EEP) and Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited (DECL), a Chinese electric company, have signed an agreement to develop a wind farm in the Aisha area of the Somali Region. The farm will be located 20km from Djibouti's border with Ethiopia at a total cost of 257 million dollars.
