Gambia: Unconditional Release Application for Ex-Petroleum Minister, Others Struck Out

Justice O Ottaba of the High Court in Banjul yesterday struck out an application for the unconditional release of Sirra Wally Ndow-Njie, Gambia's first Minister of Petroleum; and Edrissa Jobe, a businessman.

Lawyer Ida Drammeh made an application on their behalf in which she filed a 'notice of discontinuance' and urged the court to dismiss their earlier claim for both accused persons to be released unconditionally or appear before a court of law.
