Kigoma — The new era in tourism will soon dawn on Mahale Mountains National Park following implementation of strategies aimed at opening the home to some of Africa's remaining chimpanzees to the world.
Set deep in the African interior and inaccessible by road, the park could see monumental changes soon -- as the Tanzania National Parks (TANAPA) chips in to support construction of roads and bridges. More than 800 chimpanzees reside in the park as many others stay outside it.
