Nigeria: Ekiti - Workers, Labour Officials Bicker Over Alleged Govt Bribe

Ado Ekiti — Civil servants in Ekiti State yesterday accused labour leaders of betraying them by agreeing to the payment of a one-month salary out of the six months owed them by the state government.

They described the failure of the leaders of the state councils of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Trade Union Congress (TUC) and Joint Negotiating Council (JNC) to convince the government to pay at least three months as a coup against the 'long-suffering workers' who they said had endured misery in the last six months.
