Zanzibar — Lack of knowledge that is applied when using helicopters in rescue efforts has been cited as one of the reasons why Tanzanians are denied jobs in international ships.
"It is unfortunate that Tanzanians are not employed because our home seamen college like DIM does not teach the four-day course about rescue operations by using helicopters. "Let us think out of the box so that our youths get employed in the ships," said Dr Charles John Tizeba, the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
