South Africa: Two Held for Possession of Unlicensed Firearms

Pretoria — A leader of the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) and his associate were arrested for the alleged possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition in the Vaal.

"A joint operation involving the Vaalrand Organised Crime, the K9 and the Flying Squad led the officers to a house in Vandebijlpark, where the 48-year-old AWB leader was found with two rifles, two shotguns, two pistols and 2 136 of different calibre ammunition," the Hawks said on Friday.
