Fourth Republican president Rupiah Banda has instructed his lawyers to discontinue a contempt case brought against Post Newspaper editor Fred M'membe and his political ally Wynter Kabimba.
President Banda says he wanted to promote peace in the country and therefore found no reason to continue with the case especially that he was acquitted of all allegations before court on whose material M'membe and Kabimba made contemptuous remarks.
