Lilongwe — Malawi and Southern Africa region struggle to respond to the devastating impact of EI-Niño conditions that has caused the worst drought in 35 years, as well as flooding in some countries.
The remarks were made Monday by the United Nations Assistant Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs and Deputy Emergency Relief Coordinator Kyung-wha Kang during a press briefing in Lilongwe on her two day visit to Malawi.
