A proposal by the Employers Confederation of Zimbabwe (EMCOZ) that business must not pay maternity leave for female employees has courted the ire of women's groups.
Various women's groups described the proposal as a violation of the Constitution of Zimbabwe, which says people must not be discriminated against on the basis of their gender.
