Hundreds of books, songs and poems have been and continue to be written about 'women of substance' -- those women of power, women of positive influence and women of meaning.
In dear motherland, one particular name of such a woman comes to my mind -- the late Bibi Titi Mohammed. She was one of the founding members of the Tanganyika African National Union (Tanu), which in 1977 merged with the Afro-Shirazi Party (ASP) to form Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM).
