GOVERNMENT says the 8% salary increment that the Namibia National Teachers Union is demanding cannot be met because of the country's current economic situation.
Nantu has turned down a government offer of 5% salary increment for teachers, and threatened to go on strike strike if government does not grant their 8% salary hike demand for grades 12 to five.
