Nigeria: Worsening Power Outage Leaves Jos in Five-Day Darkness

Jos — Residents of the Plateau State capital Jos and environs, today, spent the fifth day without public power supply, in what has forced many business operators closing shops, Daily Trust has observed.

This is another stretch of protracted power outage to hit the state in a short period, the last being two weeks ago when residents spent six straight days without electricity supply from the Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC). The distribution company covers four states of Plateau, Benue, Gombe and Bauchi.
