Dar es Salaam — The national Under-17 team, Serengeti Boys, may not face Congo in the third phase of the 2017 African Youth Championship after Namibia lodged an appeal over age cheating.
Congo downed the Namibians on a 5-1 goal aggregate on Sunday, but they will now wait for the African governing body, Caf, to decide their fate. Should Caf rule against the Congolese, Tanzania will face the Namibians mid next month with the first leg taking place in Dar es Salaam.
