Tanzania: Youth Counselled to Take Up Fishing

Instead of blaming the government for not providing enough employment opportunities youths in the country have been encouraged to take on aquaculture as one of the income generating activity.

Aquaculture, also known as aqua farming, is the farming of aquatic organisms such as fish, crustaceans, mollusks and aquatic plants which involves cultivating freshwater and saltwater populations under controlled conditions and can be contrasted with commercial fishing, which is the harvesting of wild fish.
