The federal government has announced the re-opening of eight satellite prisons located in Bauchi state, North-east Nigeria, which were earlier closed down due to the wave of Boko Haram insurgency in the zone.
Controller-General of the Nigeria Prisons Service (NPS), Ja'afaru Ahmed announced this Thursday in Abuja in a statement signed by the service spokesman, Francis Enobore.
