South Africa: Police Destroy Firearms in Germiston, 2 Sept

The Minister of Police, Honourable Nathi Nhleko and the Acting National Commissioner of Police, Lieutenant General Khomotso Phahlane cordially invites the media to the destruction of firearms.

The firearms destruction is in line with Section 123 of the Firearms Control Act, 2000 (Act 60 of 2000) as prescribed by Regulation 104 (5) of the Firearms Control Act, 2000 (Act 60 of 2000). The South African Police Service will destroy over 12 000 firearms.
