Uganda: Health Workers on the Spot Over Hepatitis B Fees

Kampala — Ayivu County MP Bernard Atiku has asked the Ministry of Health to investigate Arua District health officials for allegedly profiteering from government's hepatitis B vaccination campaign by charging money from residents.

Speaking during a regional health assembly in Arua Town at the weekend, Mr Atiku said the actions of the health workers disenfranchised many Ugandans who did not have the money to pay for the tests and that they should be punished.
