South Africa: Water and Sanitation Imposed Water Restrictions in the Orange River

The Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) has for the first time after 24 years imposed water restrictions in the Orange River. The restrictions imposed will be by 15% for farmers that irrigate, and by 10% for industrial and domestic use.

The last time restrictions were imposed on the Orange River was in 1992.
