This is an election year. The ministry of the Interior should play a major role in promoting police -political party relation to prepare the ground for free and fair elections.

It is the ministry that should create the security environment that would be free from any arbitrary arrest and intimidation. It is therefore interesting that there is a major shakeup at the ministry less than three months before an election.
