Uganda: Police Grill Pastor Kakande Over Illegal Guns

Kampala — Police authorities on Tuesday interrogated Pastor Samuel Kakande of Synagogue Church of All Nations in Mulago over a case involving his deputy who was found with two guns and 87 bullets.

Mr Andrew Kaweesi, the police spokesperson, yesterday told Daily Monitor that police interrogated Pastor Kakande because his deputy Pastor Johnson Muwanguzi insisted the two guns police recovered from his home belong to his boss (Pastor Kakande). Pastor Muwanguzi was arrested last week over illegal possession of two assault rifles and 87 bullets. Upon his arrest, Pastor Muwanguzi told police the guns belonged to his boss Pastor Kakande, something the latter vehemently denied during police interrogation.
