FARMERS at the Muketela village in the Zambezi region are calling for government assistance to install a solar water pump for their livestock.
Natural water sources are drying up in the Zambezi region due to the drought, leaving 35 cattle posts with a population of up to 10 000 cattle competing for drinking water at the only available water point at the Muketela village in the Sibbinda constituency.
