Mauritius: World Mental Health Day 2016 - Several Activities Organised

The Ministry of Health and Quality of life will organise several activities to mark the World Mental Health Day, which will be commemorated on 10 October 2016. The theme chosen by the World Health Organization is "Dignity in Mental Health: Psychological and Mental Health First Aid for All".

The activities organised by the Ministry include an official function, followed by a cultural programme, at the Brown Sequard Mental Health Care Centre and an exhibition to display the creativity of the patients of the Centre. They also include a sensitisation campaign on the issue of psychological and social first aid, and support to mental patients and a Solidarity Walk on 15 October 2016.
