Nigeria: Buhari, Sultan of Sokoto, Saleh Among Top 50 World Influential Muslim Leaders

President Muhammadu Buhari, the Sultan of Sokoto and President of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar III, and a renowned Maiduguri-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ibrahim Saleh have improved on their rankings among the top 50 influential Muslim leaders in the world.

They were listed in the 8th edition of the annual "The Muslim 500: The World's 500 Most Influential Muslims" 2017 which was formally released on Thursday.
