East Africa: Many Companies Still Lack Data Breach Awareness

Cyber-attacks and major data breaches are costing organizations billions. In fact cybercrime costs the global economy up to $500 billion annually. In Kenya alone, the Kenyan firms lost Sh15 billion through cybercrime last year, with the public sector being the most affected.

However many companies aren't even aware that they've been breached. And yet, 20% of small to mid-sized businesses have been cyber-crime targets in the recent past.
