Algeria, Among First Countries to Sign Tobacco Control Convention

Algiers — Minister of Health, Population and Hospital Reform Abdelmalek Boudiaf on Monday here said that Algeria is one of the first countries that have have signed the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Algeria signed the WHO framework convention in 2006 and included it in its laws, said the minister at the opening of the preparatory meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the WHO FCTCwhich will be held from 7 to 12 November in New Delhi, India.
