Africa: Pan-African Parliament Seeks Larger Role in Food Security, Policy

Cairo — The Pan African Parliament (PAP) concluded its session in Egypt's Sharm El-Sheikh Monday with initiatives on PAP's identity, counter-terrorism challenges in the continent and joint development plans, particularly the question of food security.

The session, themed "Taking the PAP to the People of Africa" and held in Egypt for the first time, witnessed a huge turnout from an array of parliamentarians, politicians, presidents and policymakers from across Africa.
