Namibia: Two Outapi Council Employees Sentenced

TWO Outapi town council employees who were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Commision in 2010 for corruptly using their office and positions to steal about N$22 000 from a member of the public, were last week convicted of the offence by the Oshakati Magistrate's Court.

Josephat Iyambo and Abraham Tomanga were fined N$20 000 each, or eight years imprisonment, of which N$5 000 or two years were conditionally suspended.
