Sudan: Corruption Allegations Emerge From Audits

Khartoum — The Auditor General of Sudan has confirmed accusations against the Deputy President of the National Congress Party in Khartoum state and Sudan's former Director of Television, of "corruption and financial irregularities".

Auditor General Rashid Ahmed asserts that while he was Director of Television, Mohammed Hatem "squandered public money and misused resources by signing a contract with a private advertising company without following the proper procedures".
