Tanzania: TSN Plans to Be Mega-Profit Making Public Institution

Dodoma — Tanzania Standard (Newspapers) Limited (TSN) plans to be a mega- profit making government institution, including improving its printing press to enhance quality of its publications Tsnand position itself well to cope with competition in the media industry.

TSN is a government owned media company that publishes the 'Daily News', 'Sunday News', 'HabariLeo' and 'HabariLeo Jumapili' as well as the sports bi-weekly 'SpotiLeo'. TSN Managing Editor Dr Jim Yonazi outlined the company's business plan yesterday when he appeared before the Parliamentary Public Investments Committee (PIC).
