Sudan: Riot Police Disperse Protest Against Land Seizure in Khartoum

Khartoum — Riot police and security agents dispersed a sit-in by residents of the El Jireif East residential area in Khartoum with tear gas and arrested their representative on Monday.

One of the demonstrators against land seizure by the government spoke to Radio Dabanga. He said that 23 vehicles of the security apparatus arrived in the neighbourhood and started to disperse and attack the protestors, firing tear gas and using sticks to beat them.
