Kenyan Troops Due Back From South Sudan Today

Nairobi — The first group of Kenya Defense Force (KDF) soldiers attached to the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) were expected to return to Nairobi on Wednesday afternoon as Kenya made good on its threat to withdraw from the war-torn nation.

The troops were expected to land at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport any time from noon, according to a statement from the military headquarters.
