HARARE City Council authorities say the city's treated water is heavily underpriced, a thing they said was militating against the most populous city's efforts to guarantee residents reliable water supplies.
Acting water director Engineer Hosiah Chisango told a recent stakeholders' meeting called to review the city's recurrent water crisis that Harare was incurring a 35 cents loss per every cubic metre sold to residents.
